Jamie is a Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Engineering program within the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

​

Her work currently focuses on using calcium dynamics to characterize the electrical behavior of large network, in vitro neurons during applied tension that simulates a traumatic brain injury.

​

Jamie joined the Franck Lab in 2020 after receiving her B.S. in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2019. She received her M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2022.

​

Jamie is interested in applying fundamental mechanics concepts and novel microscopy techniques to investigate neurological phenomena.
